Founded in the year 2000 by a young Marc Vedo in the South West Of England, Koolwaters is a UK brand that quickly became a global success running events and being involved in festivals around the world. Having started as a small club night in Taunton with a modest 150 people attending the first event, it quickly grew into one of the biggest events in the South of the UK, attracting thousands of clubbers from all over the country and all major music publications branding it as one of the best events at the time. The brands successful formula quickly spread around the UK, hosting events in more than 60 major cities and towns across the country hosting arenas at Festivals and holding down residencies at iconic venues like The Whitehouse in London for 6 years. The brands popularity meant offers started flooding in from abroad and Koolwaters embarked on its first international adventure in 2001 in Canada, quickly followed by events in all four corners of the world including a residency in clubbing mecca Ibiza for several years. Koolwaters went on to host events with iconic artists such as Chemical Brothers, Basement Jaxx, Groove Armada, Sasha & Digweed, Pete Tong, Ferry Corsten, Boy George and a whole host of other international talent.
Having dealt with international management companies and other agencies for numerous years booking their talent to play at Koolwaters parties around the globe, Koolwaters then took that experience and became a management company, looking after one of the biggest pop icons in the world, Boy George / Culture Club for a number of years. The next progression for Koolwaters was the forming of the booking agency in 2015, with a modest handful of artists. Koolwaters Agency is now proud to represent more than 60 artists globally, some of the biggest stars in electronic music, with a strong and dedicated team of highly experienced booking agents, advancing and logistics team each having a decade or more experience in the business.
Koolwaters in 2018 partnered with Spinnin’ Records, the biggest electronic label in the world, organising their Spinnin’ Sessions events in clubs, as well as curating Spinnin’ Stage lineups at major festivals. This partnership has seen huge returns for Spinnin’ Records with multiple club residencies around the globe, allowing Spinnin’ Records talent to flourish in different markets and help drive music sales and streaming for the label. Our dedicated team provide the highest service in the industry to both artists and promoters alike, delivering high spec performances.
It was only a natural progression for the brand to set-up a record label so Koolwaters Recordings was born in 2010. The label established itself as one of the most upfront imprints in the house music scene, supporting fresh new talent and breakthrough artists and cemented its place on all the popular download charts, being a regular feature in the Beatport and TrackItDown charts with numerous Top 100 tracks in its portfolio. Koolwaters compilations include the annual Ibiza, Miami and The Koolwaters Collection. Handpicked by label boss and international DJ/Producer Marc Vedo himself, the label releases are a salute to ‘proper’ house music, which is the ethos behind the label.
